Specialty Classes and Workshops

While we don't do specialty workshops, many local art centers do. We think our students and members would be interested. If you know of a special pottery workshop happening in the Twin Cites, please email us the details so we can add it here.

Wood Fire Workshop with Zac Spates

Edina Art Center is offering a wood fire workshop with Zac Spates at his newly rebuilt pottery studios in Hudson, WI. Students will bring greenware or bisque pottery to Zac's studio to glaze, wad, and fire on site. Each student may bring enough pots to cover, with overhangs, a template of 24 inches by 24 inches with a height not to exceed 12 inches. The entire class will participate in the loading, firing, and unloading of the kiln.

  • Firing: March 16 - 19
